While a classic motorcycle is older than 30 years old, they're now collectible bikes for sale and can be found in all kinds of conditions. From AJs, BSA, Bultaco, Ducati, Vincent HRD, BMW R60, Indian, Harley Iron Head, Knuckle, Shovel, Royal Enfield, Matchless, MV Augusta just to name a few rare makes, to pre 80s Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha have all become very sort after. While there are dealers who scour the world for these bikes, they can also be found in old farm sheds, Deceased Estates or the old man's shed.

A poorly restored bike that has not been rebuilt properly can often cost as much to make into a perfect classic bike as a basket case that is complete. Always be careful buying these bikes, as if the motors are not rebuilt by a professional, it just might be a hand grenade ready to drop a valve, chuck a rod or spin a bearing. Always inspect suspension components, bushings & bearings for any freeplay, & that wheels spin freely & done up tight. There's many horror stories from disappointed buyers, so beware.
