Gear-Box, most other models have separate Motor & Gear Box bolted together or bolted separately in the
frame.
The Unique Fork & Blade Con-rod configuration has remained the same for 100 years allowing the Air Cooled 45
degree V-Twin Cylinders to be Inline, (All other V-Twins that have side by side Rods have Off-set Cylinders)
although Cylinder Heads have Evolved over the years, Push Rod & Rockers still activate the Valves.
The First Harley Davidson Motorcycle was built in 1903 & named after William Harley & Arthur Davidson a
belt driven single cylinder four stroke engine in a push bike style frame with pedals, (for when no petrol was
available or broke down) then soon after in 1909 the first V-Twin Harley was born, leather belt driven & still
with peddle power. From there the Harley Davidson was raced on road & dirt until the classic bike grew to colt
status after Peter Fonda, Denis Hopper & Jack Nicholson stared in the Easy Rider Movie of two bikers that rode
across USA taking drugs & selling them to pay the way. Evil Knieval pulled of many of his jumps & stunts on
the Harley XR750 Racer, which was also a Factory Flat Track Bike with no brakes, which had two front heads &
two carbys on RHS.
The Rear End with Suspension is a Soft Tail, & the Rigid has no Rear Suspension, while Custom Harleys often
have Raked Front Ends & Extended Forks.
The V-Rod has a complete redesigned Water cooled Four Valve Motor which can be highly tuned & used in the
Factory Screaming Eagle Drag Racer, V-Rod Destroyer.
